Dr. Tommy Harrison, founding editor and writer, was a Southern Baptist pastor for 25 years, and taught New Testament, Old Testament, Life and Teachings of Christ, Introduction to the Gospels, and Business Ethics at LeTourneau University from 1997 - 2005. He currently teaches in the Religion and Philosophy Department at Christian Brothers University, Memphis, TN. Upon graduation from Howard Payne University he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he completed the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Tommy founded GospeLines in March 2000 as an e-zine devotional by sending it to four of his friends. It has grown by "word-of-mouth" to reach a global audience. As a pastor, writer, teacher and lover of souls, his passion has always been to see Christ lifted up.“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”(John 12:32)
Sherry (Mrs. Tommy Harrison), joined the GospeLines team in 2000 and became the Minister of Prayer and Praise in September of 2004. She has an incredible testimony that will bring chills to the most hardened soul. Since coming to know Him in a personal way on November 29, 1985, she has faithfully followed God's direction through a quiet ministry to children, as a warrior of prayer and fasting, and an occasional speaker for Gideon's International. Sherry came to know God in a motel room by reading the Gideon's Bible. She is one of the few people in this world who carry with her the Shekinah glory of God. Her presence fills the room with the glow of the Holy Spirit, yet she is practical, wise and humorous. GospeLines Ministries is fortunate to have Sherry serving as Minister of Prayer and Praise. "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." (Ephesians 6:11)
Ron Killen, contributing editor, began writing for GospeLines in December of 2004. He is a graduate and former instructor in Oakland Christian Church's ministerial training institute (The Master's Call) and a past Bishop of United Christian Faith Ministries. Ron has taught in various divorce recovery programs and is also a Chaplin through Healthcare Christian Fellowship International. Carla Dickerson is a gifted writer who uses her own voice to proclaim God’s word according to 1st Corinthians 12:9 (The Message)"God's various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits." Carla is active in her local church:she sings soprano in the Voices of Praise choir and recently served on the Lay Teaching Committee, a requirement for conference of the Master of Divinity degree from the Perkins School of Theology at SMU for the Pastor/Intern. A proud mother and grandmother, Carla also writes poetry and prose.
Sharon is the mother of bi-racial twin girls (adopted). God brought the new-born girls into her life in 1992 after years of struggling with infertility (and formed the foundation for her testimony). Sharon is married to Ron Killen (GospeLines' Contributing Editor & Webmaster) and was called to join GospeLines in September of 2005 as Minister of Finance. She has grown spiritually by leaps and bounds over the past several years and her passion for life, families and her heart for helping those in need has increased tenfold. Sharon wants help insure that any financial resources coming to GospeLines are used according to God's will and in areas that will have the greatest positive impact for His Kingdom.Sharon has worked as a Foster Care Case Manager in the large urban city of Detroit; and, until recently, maintained a private practice specializing in Family & Marriage Therapy. Currently she works for TASC, Inc. She likens her joy of living a life knowing God more everyday to riding her beloved roller coasters:
“The thrill of the experience is beyond description - You've just got to do it to understand!”
Teri came to GospeLines in 2003 seeking prayer for the healing of a wounded sheriff's deputy in Oregon that she had worked with in the sheriff's office. The prayer response was awesome; the deputy survived and continues to improve today. Teri accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 17. After a career in banking, she joined the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, eventually attaining the rank of Lieutenant. She retired after her marriage to Ernie Badeau and continues to grow in the Lord and look for ways to serve Him. Teri considers Tommy and Sherry to be her best friends and confidants. She recites the “full armor of God” from memory every day.
Ernie started looking over Teri's shoulder at her GospeLines emails in 2003 and became an avid reader of the devotionals. Since that time, Ernie has consulted with Tommy and Sherry regarding issues related to GospeLines and its applications. Ernie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 13 and has experienced many trials on his journey, trying to serve the Lord and continue to seek God's will. After working as an engineer and heading a department in a manufacturing company, Ernie joined a fire department in Clackamas County, Oregon. He became a station captain, then transferred to the fire marshal's office, which included investigations and involvement with the sheriff's office, where he met Teri. Ernie retired from the fire department after nearly 25 years and graduated from law school the following year. Ernie is currently practicing law in Aberdeen, Washington.
"Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24
